One of the biggest factors in people getting injured is training volume. In other words, training a lot with not enough recovery in between. This is something that anyone who plays sport and trains to play sport, needs to be educated on.
There are many factors that need to be addressed apart from the obvious one, which is shear volume of loading. There is the ability of your body to return from a very active state in training to a state of rest and digest before you go to sleep. Along with sleep, there are other factors like nutrition, training methods and training surface. All of these can be monitored and adjusted with the right education.
