Hamstring eccentric loading on a Swiss ball

This is an extremely effective exercise in building hamstring strength in a lengthened position, therefore reducing you risk of tearing a hamstring. Of course other factors are involved when you tear you hamstring like age, previous hamstring tear or trauma but one of the biggest factors is muscle strength. If you train your muscles eccentrically expect them to be more resilient to tearing but also expect them to be sore the next day. Therefore you should only train the same muscle eccentrically twice or, at max,three times a week and never on consecutive days.
